Gene's Sausage Shop opened in 1972 by two young immigrant brothers from Poland, John and Gene. 2009 marked the store's 37th anniversary and the beginning of a new chapter by opening a new location in Lincoln Square. The shop has become a Chicago institution, with over 40 varieties of artisan handmade sausages, made fresh on-premise daily.
The task was to rebrand the new location, while respecting the heritage of the original store, including a refined identity system, stationery, website, aprons, hats, signage, labels, vehicle, print ads, t-shirts, typography, photography and much more. The website is scheduled to launch in 2010.
